They say find something that you are passionate about and then it won't seem like work. This is certainly true for us here at Bull Run 4x4.
Bull Run 4x4 started out as an obsession and hobby for Mike Miller. He's been involved in off-roading since his childhood with both dirt bikes and ATVs. He's been building Jeeps and 4WD vehicles, performing maintenance on many brands of vehicles, assisting with various custom automotive builds, and owning/building many Jeeps of his own for nearly 30 years.
Bull Run 4x4 started out in Mike's home garage in Haymarket where he installed a 2-post automotive lift and began building Jeeps on the weekends as a hobby. As word got out that there was new shop in town that put customers first over profit, the Jeeps were lined up on the curb waiting for custom work week after week.
Prior to starting Bull Run 4x4, Mike started, managed/owned, and then sold an award-winning managed IT services/cloud hosting company that specialized in white-glove IT support for Federal government contractors and hospital networks. His company received rave reviews about the level of support clients received day after day. This same model and methodology are what drives the entire Bull Run 4x4 team to offer the same quality of support to his Jeep customers today.
Two weeks before the COVID-19 pandemic hit the United States, Mike and team moved from his home garage to the shop’s current commercial location at 3511 James Madison Hwy in Haymarket, VA. The world was filled with uncertainty, but one thing was apparent which was that Jeepers surely didn’t care that the world was being turned upside down as they continued to upgrade their Jeeps to explore Mother Nature as a way to escape the pandemic.
Day after day during the entire duration of these unprecedented times, Jeeps were filling the parking lot waiting for work at the shop. Bull Run 4x4 quickly adapted to ever changing world and started offering Jeep build consultations in the evenings over Zoom to keep both customers and employees safe from COVID-19. During 2020, Bull Run 4x4 grew 4X larger during the first year of the pandemic, continuing to add employees to accommodate the explosive growth of the shop.
Fast forward to January 2022… Our rock star employee, Tiffany Leith was promoted to General Manager as she now oversees day to day operations and our master tech, Nick Sunday was promoted to Shop Foreman where he oversees our quality control process as well as all the work performed in the bays.
